Welcome to our web site for Knockmain Holiday Apartment.  Knockmain Garden Apartment forms part of an elegant, tastefully restored Victorian House, built circa 1860 and formerly part of Baron Haldon's estate. Access to the apartment is via a shared private drive and there is ample parking for about 8 cars in the court yard at the front of the house.  The apartment is let through West Country Cottages( www.westcountrycottages.co.uk ) and can be found in their brochure by clicking on the Devon Cottages link and then following the link through

Knockmain Garden Apartment (on lower floor) is elegant and stylish and offers spacious and luxurious accommodation. Furnished and equipped to a very high standard, it is situated in a quiet area, just 800 yards from Torquay’s seafront and shopping centre. Both the master bedroom and the lounge have patio doors, which open onto a loggia and sizeable, south facing enclosed garden for you to relax in whilst offering a safe haven for children to play in. Torquay is popular for the variety of entertainment available for all the family, including local attractions such as Kent’s Cavern, Bygones, Paignton Zoo and ‘Living Coasts’, which is a marine aviary with sea birds and seals on show above and below the water.  Safe, sandy beaches are plentiful, the closest being at Torquay, Paignton and Goodrington. Beyond the English Riviera, Torquay is an ideal base for exploring both the delightful South Devon coast with its coastal walks as well as the rugged beauty of Dartmoor.

Note: There are a number of steps down to the front door of property although entry can be gained via the garden.
